Education Committee
The Education Committee supports the welfare of African migrants in NSW by linking local and international students with essential resources, information, and opportunities. We keep our community informed about emerging trends and provide education on safety, compliance, and integration.
What We Do
- Social Integration Activities – Coordinate cultural events, mentorship programmes, language exchange sessions, and buddy systems to help migrants feel included and integrate into the local community
- Legal and Regulatory Guidance – Link members to seminars on visa regulations, legal rights, workplace laws, tenancy, and anti-discrimination protections tailored for migrants and students
- Employment and Career Support – Connect members with workshops on Resume writing, interview skills, job search techniques, and networking opportunities, whilst linking them to employers and suitable job openings
