The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Committee links migrants with opportunities to pursue economic independence and create impact through business and skill development. We connect members with the tools, networks, and knowledge needed to transform entrepreneurial dreams into reality.
What We Do:
- Business Startup Guidance – Link members to workshops, pitch nights, and mentorship on starting small businesses, understanding legal requirements, navigating local permits, and developing business plans tailored for migrants
- Networking and Collaboration Opportunities – Coordinate events, meetups, and online platforms that connect African migrants with entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts
- Financial Literacy and Access to Capital – Connect members with training on money management, budgeting, and taxation; link them to microfinance, small business grants, and loan schemes designed for migrants
- Skills Development and Vocational Training – Link members to courses and certifications in high-demand fields, digital skills, trade qualifications, and connect them with apprenticeships and internships with local employers
- Social Enterprise and Community Project Support – Guide members to develop social businesses or community-focused startups that address local needs, coordinating support for project design, funding, and impact evaluation
